Residents of Bradford will benefit from more housebuilding, better transport and increased investment into the district, after regional leaders came together to back ambitious plans for a flagship regeneration project in the city.

The creation of a flagship new sustainable community in the heart of Bradford took a major step forward this week as Bradford Council and ECF (the partnership between Homes England, Legal & General and Muse) entered into a Development Agreement to kick-start the first phase of Bradford City Village.

Plans to transform Bradford’s former retail heart into a new sustainable ‘City Village’ have taken a major step forward. Bradford Council has appointed ECF, the partnership between Homes England, Legal & General and Muse, as its preferred development partner to deliver the scheme.

The first CGIs for Bradford City Village were revealed today, as momentum builds towards creating a sustainable residential neighbourhood in the heart of Bradford’s city centre.

Members of the public are being invited to have their say to help shape plans for Bradford City Village, which is set to deliver 1,000 new homes and revitalise the former retail heart of the city centre.

Bradford Council has signed a pre-development agreement to work in partnership with The English Cities Fund on delivery for the 1,000-home masterplan area, one of its banner projects.
